VA Form 26-1880: Obtain COE/Restore Entitlement
The VA Form 26-1880 is a document used to obtain a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) and to restore entitlement. The COE is a required early step in getting a VA home loan. Veterans, Active Duty, Reservists and National Guard members who have served on active duty can obtain a COE three ways:

Lender: Loan Professionals can often get a Certificate online instantly if the serviceperson can produce evidence of eligibility.
Mai: VA Form 26-1880 must be completed and sent to the VA Winston-Salem Eligibility Office (surviving spouses must use VA Form 26-1817).
